Putting a face on your posts and comments

Let’s fix this boring avatar

Have you noticed this image attached to your comments and on your profile page? That is your avatar. Pretty boring, right? Let’s take a moment to spruce it up a bit.

Introducing Gravatar

This blog, and thousands of others, use a system called Gravatar. The “Globally Recognized Avatar”  is a single image that follows you from site to site appearing beside your name when you do things like comment or post on a blog. Setting one up is easy.

  1. Visit
  2. Enter the email that use to log in, or comment (
  3. You will receive a confirmation email. Follow the instruction to upload your photo.

The next time you log in to your blog, or leave a comment,  your photo will be automatically attached..
