PCC is aware of a rise in phishing scams targeting students, including emails and phone calls claiming to be PCC or the IRS. Legitimate calls from PCC may ask about your course registration and G Number to confirm your identity, but will direct you to MyPCC or Student Accounts Services to make payments. PCC will never ask you to provide or confirm sensitive personal information by email. We advise you protect yourself by scrutinizing all emails or phone calls asking for sensitive information, such as your Social Security Number, a credit card number, or your password.
For more information on phishing please visit the Federal Trade Commission’s Consumer Information site.
