Retrieve Previously-Deleted Calendar Events
Have you ever deleted a calendar event and later wished you could get it back? Until recently, there was no way to do that. You could retrieve an email message you had earlier “trashed,” get a Google Doc back that you had deleted — but you couldn’t retrieve a previously-deleted calendar event.
No longer! Google now provides a way to view and/or restore calendar events that you have previously deleted (within 30 days). You can do this with any calendar you have “owner” or “co-owner” permission for. Here’s how to view and/or restore a Google Calendar event you deleted earlier:
- In the left column of your Google Calendar window, “hover” with your mouse over the calendar you deleted the event from.
- Click on the little down-arrow that appears to the right and select “View Trash” from the list.
- A list of deleted events for that calendar will appear. ‘Check’ the checkbox next to the event you want to recover and choose “Restore Selected Events.”
This feature does not exist in the mobile phone version of Google Calendar — only in the web / computer version.
